The couses will be held in Ravenna
in a private lab, and they will be held every week (see the schedule)
Furthermore workshops lasts one week and for those interested there’s the possibility
of an extension.
All the materials and equipments necessary for the course are available for trainees and
they are completly free.
Students from all countries of world partecipate in our classes. Usually their ages vary
from 20 to 60. The lessons are taught by qualified teachers (included Maria Rosa Canciani)
with a long experience on three-dimentional objects, panels, furniture decoration and
windows with stained glass.
During the workshop we can offer you a great variety of ideas to furnish your house, to
realize ambitious and interesting suggestion for objects that you can do youselves. |
| Programme |
The course will be divided
in two different phases:
In the first phase students will make a
small stained glass window with easy geometric patterns. In this way they’ll start to
be familiar with glass, with the study of linear cutting in different types of glass and
with the detailes of a simplified project.
In the second phase students will examine
the project of a curvilinear glass window which implies the use of different type of glass
a higher degree of difficulty and varied combinations of polycrom glass.
We can offer you a great variety of ideas to furnish your house, to realize ambitious and
interesting suggestion for objects that you can do youselves. |
| Teachers |
The lessons are taught by
qualified teachers, included Maria Rosa Canciani.
Maria Rosa Canciani was born in Milan in 1957.After completing her studies at the Art
Institute “Enalc” in Milan, she has studied archeology with distinctive
attention to the Art of glass making. Her love for Art and her taste to match colour has
made her the most important assistent of one of the greatest teacher in Perugia.
She works in Ravenna: “like stained glass windows” her works
show her deep sensitivity and love for glass making.
Her activity takes place in this town that has made of Art a symbol of Ravenna. |

The total cost of the couse
is of ITL 800,000 - EUR 414 - (at the moment - July 29th, 1999 - approx USD
440$)
The price includes materials, lectures and certificate of attendance.
Furthermore the fee includes an interpreter if necessary

shop the materials, etc. |
| Accommodations |
Ravenna is a small city and
offers many kinds of accommodations: hotels, guest-houses,apartments,rooms, etc.
Our school is in the center and all of the accommodations near the historic zone are very
good. Usually hotels are very nice and not too expensive.
Recently, we negotiated a special rate for our clients with Hotel Argentario.
It's a comfortable hotel - three stars - about 2 minute walking from our workshop. The
situation is excellent.
